CASE STUDY

Adience partnered with Responsive to deliver a high-impact B2B thought leadership program, uncovering how AI-driven Strategic Response Management is transforming win rates, growth, and competitive advantage.

Why Adience ?

Responsive chose Adience for its clear proposal, proven expertise, consistent senior support, and a partnership approach that felt like a natural extension of their team.

Responsive leads the market in Strategic Response Management (SRM), the people, processes, and technology that unlock organizational knowledge for profitable growth. In a hyper-competitive landscape, characterized by tighter budgets, compressed timelines, multiple solutions, and information overload, AI-driven SRM can deliver the all-important competitive edge.

After a rigorous selection, Responsive appointed Adience as its research partner. The project has already translated into new revenue opportunities and measurable growth within Responsive.

What we did:

Surveyed more than 700 sales, bid/proposal, and IT executives and practitioners to understand how those organizations use SRM. The sample was segmented by role, department, vertical, company size, and region, and recruited via four channels to reach and motivate time-poor decision-makers

Analyzed the data and findings in a presentation that was the basis for thought leadership, emphasizing best practices in bid and proposal management. The richness of the findings enabled Responsive to explore how leading organizations achieve higher win rates, stronger revenue growth, and better employee satisfaction.

Provided the depth and accuracy of data to publish additional reports focusing on a number of Responsive’s key sectors, including the UK and the financial services industry.

Built a credible media narrative with a methodology and findings designed to withstand editorial scrutiny, supporting high-quality press coverage in target outlets.

"From the very first point of contact with Adience, we were impressed by their approach, from how they communicate to the rigor they bring to their research methodology and data analysis. The Adience team has been a true partner, quickly understanding our research goals and marketing objectives, and helping us secure the right data to produce our most successful thought leadership campaign to date. This really was best practice in action from start to finish, and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship."

Outcomes:

The research formed the foundation of a high-impact thought leadership program that has driven strong engagement and visibility for Responsive.

Responsive and the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) co-published the results in “The 2025 State of Strategic Response Management Report”. Subtitled ‘Winning Business in the Age of AI’, the results and insights were presented at the industry’s annual conference in 2025 to wide acclaim.

As a specialist in winning business, we were curious for Responsive’s Director of Integrated Marketing, Joe Kopyt, to share his experience of the search for a B2B research partner, and his rationale for choosing Adience. Here’s what he told us:

  • Continuity of contact. From the initial enquiry through to the pitch presentation and the research project, Responsive had a single senior point of contact at Adience.
  • Loyal client base. When Responsive requested reviews from Adience’s existing clients, the team was impressed by the speed at which they were returned, underlining the strength of our relationships with existing clients.
